What is Service-Learning? Service-learning combines education with community service. In our programs, youth are put in decision-making roles. They are given the opportunity to research causes that matter to them, and then find ways to help.

Service-Learning is powerful because it allows students to develop both empathy and leadership skills at the same time. It teaches young leaders that their voice IS powerful, and that they CAN lead change in our community. We believe all kids should have the opportunity to address the needs they see in their community, so See Kids Dream partners with schools to make service-learning accessible.

When kids are empowered to serve their community, they are more likely to take on leadership roles in their future, and they are more likely to continue participating in civic activities.
